The Client’s Challenge
Home robotics will be one of the most consequential product categories, yet today home robots are mostly limited‑purpose. General‑purpose robots, capable of doing many tasks, have remained the territory of sci‑fi, and their design largely positioned as machines. Weave challenged Box Clever to create Isaac 1, representing a new creative direction for them and this emerging category.
weaverobotics.comThe Strategic Approach
Weave and Box Clever saw an opportunity to take an approach that’s decor‑driven, approachable, capable, and offers choice.
How does Isaac 1 feel to homeowners when it’s working and when it’s at rest? Our strategic direction holistically rethinks how robots should be designed and introduced to personal spaces.
The Creative Solution
The robot’s core body is composed of inner panels that hide and protect the underlying structure. External panels are designed with user‑swappable padded fabric parts, to protect the robot and your home. Our team developed a design that is decor‑driven, allowing the robot to visually and emotionally complement the environment it lives in.
