Shorebird teamed up with Box Garden Ventures and Box Clever to design the company name, brand identity, product strategy, and to design and create their flagship product. The Shorebird Beach Chair was conceived as a mission driven response in frustration to the market saturation of low quality beach products with short life spans.

The Strategic Approach

This innovative design reflects our commitment to positive impact. The Shorebird Beach Chair is made with quality materials and is designed to be serviceable and configurable to extend the life of the chair. The entire product is meant to be updated over time. The fabric easily comes off and can be cleaned or replaced. The frame is made in 3 subassemblies that can be repaired if they are damaged. The rope can be restrung with a range of rope types. 

All materials are environmentally conscious and uncompromised, from the A grade teak frame, to the fabric material offered in 100% natural fiber material and recycled textiles.

Designed for all modes

Created to deliver max relaxation, the chair’s signature touch point is the brass sailing-inspired cleat, which allows the rope to be adjusted and locked in place to set the recline angle just how you like it, all while comfortably sitting in the Shorebird Beach Chair.

The chair compactly folds up and is easy to carry to your favorite outdoor spots. We also developed a patent pending carry strap, to support carrying the chair with two backpack straps if you need both hands, or the two straps convert into a single shoulder strap.
